About
Us
Gudhara is run
by a not-for-profit association called Gudhara Holistic Sanctuary Inc. Gudhara
Holistic Sanctuary is a not-for-profit organisation run by a small group of people
under the principles of social, economic and environmental sustainability. Our
weekend retreats are conducted by experienced facilitators with an emphasis on
raising consciousness for personal and global transformation. We are based on
a model of sustainability and each guest to the sanctuary is encouraged to undertake
some environmental practice such as organic gardening or bush regeneration. This
helps ground them during the weekend and to inspire them to live more sustainably
when they return to their everyday life.
What
is valued most in life at Gudhara is: -
Equality, friendship and compassion
-
Open communication and resolution of conflict
-
Integrity in business and personal exchanges
-
Valuing and living in harmony with the natural environment
-
Health and spiritual growth
-
Creativity and a zest for life

environments. As an architect this has found expressions in projects such
as the Living Spaces Group, the Peace Pavilion for the Sydney Olympics
and a Hindu Temple in Western Sydney. On a community level he has founded
