Nature Wisdom & The Journey of the Self
A Deep Ecology
Weekend ~ 9-10 october 2010
With Nature as our
Teacher, we will journey through personal and ecological landscapes as
we explore our connection with Nature and each other with a special emphasis
on Self Renewal... using Deep Ecology processes, sharing circles, meditation
and creative expression.
Deep Ecology invites us to experience ourselves as part of the living
earth - rather than separate from it - and supports us to follow our visions
and inspirations courageously and easefully. Through experiential exercises,
sharing, music and creative expression, the workshop will offer two parallel
streams:
Planet and Self in
which we remember our interconnectedness with all beings, dissolve the
obstructions between person and planet, and find empowerment as agents
of healing change. and
Self Renewal - we identify the challenges and growth edges that we are
facing in our personal lives and discover insight, direction, and clarity
through Nature Wisdom work as well as the support of the circle.
Outcomes include:
- A redefined connection between yourself and Nature
- Ability to use nature to assist in our spiritual transformation
- A clearer sense of your personal role in the current ecological challenges
of our planet
- Personal empowerment from being in a supportive gathering
Facilitator
Ruth Rosenhek, MS Organisational Management, is an international environmental
justice activist, educator, filmmaker, deep ecologist and Director of
the Rainforest Information Centre in Lismore. She is currently exploring
inspiration and creative message forms to urge positive change both on
the personal and planetary levels. Most recently, she completed Earth
Spirit Action, a film featuring prominent speakers on Deep Ecology, Living
Democracy and Revolution in Consciousness. Ruth has been teaching and
facilitating Deep Ecology seminars including the Council of All Beings
in Australia, Canada, USA, New Zealand, South Africa, Eastern and Western
Europe for over 12 years and has written numerous magazine and web articles
on the topic.

The weekend is located on the Southern Highlands Railway Line south of
Sydney. A Countrylink train will arrive from Sydney at Bundanoon at 9.05am
Saturday (timetable) where we can pick you up. An opportunity is also
available to offset your carbon footprint for travelling through planting
Australian native trees at the Gudhara property.
Gudhara Holistic Sanctuary
Gudhara Holistic Sanctuary Inc. is a not for profit organization running
weekend residential workshops and retreats on sustainability, design and
spirituality at various locations in the Southern Highlands south of Sydney.
Activities are run under the principles of social, economic and environmental
sustainability with an emphasis on raising consciousness for personal
and global transformation.
